Job Title: School Chef Location: Dagenham Salary: £15-£20 Per Hour Contract Type: temporary/permanent Hours: Full-Time/Part Time Monday to Friday Start Date: Asap/September About the Role Complete classroom services are looking for a school chef to be responsible for planning and preparing balanced meals that meet children’s dietary needs and follow health and safety guidelines. You\’ll work closely with the school team to ensure food is served safely and in line with allergy and dietary requirements. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and cook fresh, healthy meals and snacks daily for children * Plan weekly menus in line with nutritional guidelines and dietary needs * Ensure meals are age-appropriate and appealing to young children * Always maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen * Prepare food menus * Manage food stock, ordering supplies and controlling waste * Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations * Keep accurate records of food preparation and kitchen checks (e.g. temperature logs) Requirements * Proven experience working as a Chef or Cook, ideally in a childcare or school setting * Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) – essential * Knowledge of children’s nutrition and allergy awareness * Understanding of food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, COSHH) * Good organisational skills and ability to work independently * Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) * Right to work in the UK What We Offer * Supportive team and welcoming environment * Uniform and meals provided during working hours * Opportunity to make a positive impact on children\’s health and wellbeing To Apply: Please send your CV by applying
