Join Our Team – Opportunities to join our Packing Teams Are you looking for a hands-on role where precision and quality matter? Howdens are recruiting Packers to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden. These roles will enable us to deliver our forecasted growth and extend our service to our customers. – Location | Howden, East Yorkshire – Contract Type | Permanent – Salary | £30,541.16 per annum + shift allowance – Shift Pattern | Rotating days and nights Days – Monday to Thursday 8am-4:40pm, Friday 6am-2pm Nights – Monday to Wednesday 4:30pm-3am, Thursday 4:30pm-2:30am Benefits of working for Howdens as a Packer:    – Competitive salary – Pension plan with a maximum company contribution of 12% – 25 days holiday + bank holidays with an opportunity to purchase additional days – Staff discount – Free parking and daily lunch at onsite canteen – Opportunities for growth and development within the company What will you be doing as a Packer: – Safely stack and organise finished products onto pallets – Ensure the correct components are placed into packaging, following specifications to meet product and customer requirements – Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet the required quality standards – Highlighting any quality concerns to the line operator to ensure quick resolution and prevent defects from leaving the production line – Ensure the area is maintained to the agreed housekeeping standards – Work to specifications to pack/stack product to the correct quality standards   What we’re looking for… – Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment – Ability to read and understand manual handling risk assessments specific to the task  – Excellent people and communication skills – Quality awareness and attention to detail – Taking pride in your work and promoting a safe and productive working environment Application and Assessment Process Your application will be carefully reviewed, and we will get back to all applicants.
