The position of HR Specialist – Projects is part of the HR department and plays a crucial role in implementing the University People Plan. It involves assisting colleagues across the University in executing strategic projects aimed at helping our staff achieve their best. These projects will encompass key aspects of an academic environment, such as enhancing the student experience, promoting best practices in academic research, and empowering professional services staff to excel in their roles.

Offered as 21.75 hours per week, on a fixed term until 31 July 2026, the ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Fundamental HR principles
  • Operational HR delivery
  • Building trust with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Managing projects at both organizational and departmental levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing innovative projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure projects align with goals.
  • Identify challenges and contribute to implementing effective solutions to overcome obstacles and drive project success.
  • Track and report on project progress, using data to inform decisions and optimize processes.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
