Job Summary
The Development Team Lead is a hands-on role (team size: 3-4) and is responsible for leading the development, customization, maintenance and support of Core Banking vendor applications including primarily Temenos T24 but also others like Siena, SIL – Swift, Bloomberg, Fircosoft, Corona and others. This role will also play a key role in delivering some of the strategic technology transformation initiatives including Digital Channels, Integration, Payments & Cloud. In-depth knowledge & hands-on experience in Temenos T24 within Core Banking/Trade Finance is essential for this role. Reporting to the Director of Solution Delivery, the role will be responsible for line management of a small team consisting of 3 to 4 core banking developers.
Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
- Provide Hands-on Team Leadership to a small development team consisting of 3-4 Core Banking & T24 application developers. In-depth knowledge & experience in Temenos T24 is essential.
- This is a Hands-on role with the expectations of 60-70% of the time spent on T24 hands-on development and support and 30-40% of the time spent on-line management, resource & task management, project planning, reviews & providing guidance to team members
- Provide technical leadership for the Core Banking applications used by the Bank
- Set the technical delivery standards, development processes and behavioural standards for the team
- Lead and drive upgrades, patches & support for other applications like Siena, SIL – Swift, Bloomberg, Fircosoft, Refinitiv, Corona and others
- Work closely with BAU and Change Program Managers and lead delivery of key technology BAU and strategic programs including APIs, integration, Cloud, Digital Channels and others
- Manage interactions with the service owners to enhance the service provision, through the delivery of enhancements, bug fixes and upgrades, which is in line with Bank policy
- In the event of service interruptions and IT incidents, work with the team and vendors to remediate and resolve all issues, promptly and safely
- Work with bank management team and the IT management team to introduce, where merited new applications system and or services for deployment into our architecture
- Plays an active role in knowledge management and knowledge transfer to other members of the team
- Responsible for ensuring technical and development documentation is up to date
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Considerable experience configuring and developing within T24 [Especially R22 and above]
- Experience of Latest T24 Temenos skillset – IRIS, TPH, AA, IF
- Familiarity with Extensibility Framework Product
- Must have experience as a Solution Architect – For providing functional guidance and expert advice to our banking, Design Patterns and Principles
- Knowledge on ISO20022 Standards
- Knowledge on GitHub and CICD – Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- TCIB toolkit experience beneficial
- Design Studio and Jenkins source code repository experience beneficial
- Technical understanding of the T24 Architecture and components
- Technical understanding of the interfaces into and out of T24
- Experience in Line Management & Performance Management
- Ability to multitask, resource management & strong communication/articulation skills are essential
- Familiarity with Java would be a strong plus
- Familiarity with applications like Siena, SIL – Swift, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Fircosoft, Corona and others would be advantageous
- Experience in using JIRA & Confluence
- Experience of developing IT solutions in the Bank Trade Services sector beneficial
- Experience and knowledge of Core Banking applications
- Experience of IT infrastructure required to support our banking applications
- Experience of software development lifecycle
- Hands-on technical knowledge in the Microsoft development toolset
