Overview
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Warehouse Operative on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all goods, loaded or unloaded, match the relevant paperwork.
- Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures.
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers.
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
- Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
- Assisting with warehouse inventory controls.
- Painting assets when required.
- Servicing and testing assets when required.
- Dispensing and transferring fuel.
- Inspecting and confidence checking all hose sizes and variances.
- Acting as cover as a driver installer, assisting engineers, and installing/deinstalling portable HVAC equipment.
- Representing the company and its values to portray a professional image to customers, potential customers, and others encountered during work.
- Carrying out ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Physically capable of carrying out a heavy workload.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Full driving license.
- Ability to work independently and proactively without supervision.
- Demonstrating strong teamworking skills across the service team.
Desirable:
- Previous experience with HVAC equipment.
- Previous mechanical experience.
