Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Warehouse Operative on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensuring that all goods, loaded or unloaded, match the relevant paperwork.
  2. Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures.
  3. Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers.
  4. Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
  5. Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
  6. Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
  7. Assisting with warehouse inventory controls.
  8. Painting assets when required.
  9. Servicing and testing assets when required.
  10. Dispensing and transferring fuel.
  11. Inspecting and confidence checking all hose sizes and variances.
  12. Acting as cover as a driver installer, assisting engineers, and installing/deinstalling portable HVAC equipment.
  13. Representing the company and its values to portray a professional image to customers, potential customers, and others encountered during work.
  14. Carrying out ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Physically capable of carrying out a heavy workload.
  2. Ability to work well as part of a team.
  3. Full driving license.
  4. Ability to work independently and proactively without supervision.
  5. Demonstrating strong teamworking skills across the service team.

Desirable:

  1. Previous experience with HVAC equipment.
  2. Previous mechanical experience.
