Job Description

Are you a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate or early-career designer with a passion for clean technology and hands-on product development? We’re looking for a Graduate or Junior Design Engineer to support the creation of innovative electric vehicle charging systems.

This is a unique opportunity to work on meaningful, real-world engineering challenges as part of a collaborative and fast-paced development team. You’ll be involved in everything from CAD design and prototyping through to supporting testing and compliance for UK and international standards.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Translate electrical schematics into detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs
  • Create assembly drawings and Bill of Materials to support manufacturing and site installation
  • Work closely with manufacturing, testing teams and suppliers during prototype builds
  • Support mechanical packaging, component layout, and enclosure design
  • Collaborate with engineers to bring new product concepts to life and improve existing designs
  • Maintain engineering documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD (experience with Vault or iPart/iAssembly a plus)
  • Interest in electromechanical systems and low-carbon energy technologies
  • A team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • An understanding of simulation tools like ANSYS is desirable but not essential
  • Passion for sustainable innovation and a desire to learn in a growing, fast-moving company

Whether you’ve just graduated or have some hands-on experience through a placement or internship, this role offers the chance to grow your career in a dynamic engineering environment working on cutting-edge green technologies.
