Line Leader – IPL International Procurement and Logistics

Join our dynamic onsite production team, leading a line to meet daily production targets, ensuring the highest quality standards and strict adherence to food hygiene, health & safety regulations.
Position Details
- Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 7am‑7pm
- Location: IPL Sittingbourne – Site Based
- Contract: Fixed Term until 5/5/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and organise an individual production line to achieve daily production targets (efficiency & yield) and fully satisfy customer orders to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to company policy and all laws and regulations pertaining to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
- Confirm all finished product meets customer specifications and release product as required.
- Accountable for product quality—make quality everyone\’s responsibility.
- Complete daily checks and documentation accurately and timely, including line safe start‑up checks, handover, H&S and Fire Register.
- Promote a health‑and‑safety and quality‑focused culture, maintaining a ‘clean as you go’ policy.
- Provide communication to all concerned, ensuring detailed handovers are provided.
- Optimise the use of company resources and comply with the company policy and procedures.
- Deputise for the Shift Operation Leader when required.
- Ensure the 5S process is followed and drive continuous improvement actions.
- Monitor and record weights (finished product, class 2 & waste) where required, ensuring conformity to procedures.
- Liaise with the packaging team to ensure labels and packaging are ready for the line, avoiding downtime.
- Verify any product produced against the matrix ensuring packaging, label and product information is accurate.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a fast‑moving produce production area.
- Experience leading a small team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Strong practical skills and ability to work quickly and methodically.
- Excellent team‑working abilities.
- Awareness of health and safety.
- Willingness to work flexibly.
