Structural Integrity Site Inspector – Civil & Structural (Contract) – Location: North East Lincolnshire As a Structural Integrity Site Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding a live facility\’s infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass examining steel frameworks, pipe racks, vessels, reinforced concrete elements, and other aged structures-conducting proactive inspections to detect issues (such as corrosion or misalignment) before they pose operational hazards. Key Responsibilities Perform systematic visual inspections across assigned zones, capturing results via a tablet-based reporting tool Detect and document structural defects, including corrosion, coating degradation, and undocumented modifications Update and manage as-built models and site documentation Coordinate site access, permit compliance, and daily safety briefings Oversee lifting operations (MEWPs, cranes), ensuring safe practices and permit adherence Diagnose defects and recommend corrective actions, applying a structured scoring matrix Maintain inspection records in line with COMAH, HSE, and regulationsExperience & Qualifications Proven background in Civil or Structural engineering within construction, chemical, petrochemical, or industrial environments Proficient in visual inspection techniques for steel and reinforced concrete structures Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform setting-out tasks Experienced in SketchUp or similar CAD/modeling software Certified: CSCS and MEWP (IPAF or ERT) Knowledge of site safety documentation: RAMS, ITPs, and basic familiarity with NDT coordinationTake on a hands-on field role with significant impact-your expertise will guide safety and operational decisions
