Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst Location: Chelmsford, Essex Salary/Benefits: £25k – £32k + Training & Benefits Due to recent company growth, our client is seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team in the South East of England. You will be joining a medium-sized outfit, who have recently won new contracts and are actively expanding their client base. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail and methodical approach to their work. You will be attending the laboratory on a daily basis, so applicants must be within a commutable distance. Candidates can expect competitive salaries and benefits packages, including: pension scheme, overtime opportunities and annual leave allowance. We can consider candidates in the following locations: Chelmsford, Billericay, Wickford, Basildon, South Benfleet, Maldon, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow, Epping, Bishop\’s Stortford, Braintree, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Enfield, Chigwell, Romford, Hornchurch, Ilford, Barking, Potters Bar, Barnet, Welwyn Garden City, Knebworth. Experience / Qualifications: – It is essential to hold the BOHS P401 qualification – Successful track record working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst – Will have worked within a UKAS accredited company – Excellent technical knowledge – Good literacy and numeracy skills – Proficient in the use of IT software The Role: – Conducting the bulk analysis of asbestos samples, through PLM and stereo microscopy – Processing incoming samples, logging onto the internal database and storing correctly – Producing and issuing certificates for clients – Maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the laboratory – Ordering of materials and equipment when required – Working to strict deadlines – Organising any repairs and servicing to lab equipment – Participating in quality assurance checks Alternative job titles: Asbestos Bulk Analyst, Asbestos Analyst.
