We are proud to be assisting an award-winning construction business in their search to find a Transport Planner to join their team in Ipswich. You will be required to manage the daily route planning or the transport fleet. You will coordinate the movement of plant equipment to ensure efficient, cost effective and safe transportation. Key Duties: * Manage the planning, routing and logistics of machinery. * Schedule and coordinate daily store run to refuel equipment. * Liaise with external transport suppliers to secure the best possible rates. * Handle phone and email enquiries promptly. * Monitor and schedule inspections, MOTs and servicing along with driver holidays. * Prepare reports relating to transport planning. Previous Skills & Experience: * High standard of administration skills. * Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills. * Strong communication skills both written and verbal. * Able to plan, prioritise and meet tight deadlines. Please be advised this role has a ‘Out of hours’ rota, which requires being on call from 18:00 – 23:00 on a rota basis
