The Queen’s School is a small independent girls’ school that is looking for Minibus Drivers to undertake driving duties during term-time. The school has three separate routes that require cover for approximately 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

The Queen’s School is a small independent girls’ school that is looking for Minibus Drivers to undertake driving duties during term-time. The school currently has 3 separate routes that require cover for approximately 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday. There is a possibility for that one Driver could cover 2 routes per day, therefore candidates are encouraged to detail their preferred working hours on their applications.

The Role

You will be responsible for transporting pupils to and from School and taking reasonable measures to safeguard passengers at all times and conducting necessary checks and inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy prior to travel.

  • A full, clean and valid UK driving licence with D1 entitlement
  • Proven experience of driving a minibus, HGV or PSV
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to be flexible in working arrangements and work at short notice if the need arises
  • Initiative to plan their own work schedule
  • Capability to maintain accurate vehicle and user records
  • Competent to undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks and carry out basic maintenance
  • Commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people
