We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our client, a leading Builders Merchant based in Crewe. This is a full-time, permanent position with excellent pay and benefits. The role will involve completing home deliveries of building materials, so you will be playing a key role in ensuring that customers receive their deliveries on time and in perfect condition.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00am start
Location: Based in Crewe, with deliveries to local areas
Pay Rate: £15 per hour, rising to £16 per hour after 12 weeks
Position Type: Full-time, permanent
Your Role:
Delivering building materials to homes and businesses, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
Operating the HIAB crane to unload materials safely at each delivery site. You’ll need to be comfortable with remote grab machines to load and unload materials.
Providing excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are made professionally, on time, and safely.
Completing delivery paperwork and logs, adhering to all safety regulations and company protocols.
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment both inside and outside the vehicle.
What We’re Looking For:
Valid HGV Class 2 license and HIAB training (essential).
Previous experience in a similar delivery role, ideally within the building materials industry, is a bonus.
Comfortable working with HIAB and remote grab machines.
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers.
