West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is seeking a confident and proactive Maintenance Officer to join the Property Services team.
This role primarily covers WNC’s corporate properties, including One Angel Square, Guildhall, and County Hall, with most time spent at One Angel Square.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, people-focused, and capable of working independently with strong multitasking and prioritization skills. You will work within a close-knit team of four to ensure the maintenance and safe operation of the Corporate Buildings.
A full clean driving licence is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responding to reactive call-outs for various Hard and Soft Facilities Management tasks, such as minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Inspecting and maintaining plant equipment, coordinating with contractors as needed.
- Performing administration duties using Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal CAFM systems.
- Supervising and assisting contractors on-site.
- Conducting inspections and completing checklists.
- Following and monitoring health and safety procedures.
The role involves working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Friday from 10 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional out-of-hours work.
