Machine Operator: Heading Setter/Operator

Location: Droitwich, UK

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Machine Operator (Heading Setter/Operator) to run Cold Heading Machines efficiently and maintain high production standards. This role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Cold Heading Machines to meet production targets.
  • Ensure quality control by submitting first-off samples for approval.
  • Monitor machine performance and report any defects.
  • Maintain accurate production and material records.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Assist in process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.
  • OND/ONC in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing) preferred.
  • Experience operating roll-forming machines.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and detect faults.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
