The operations team currently work a weekly shift rota covering the hours 07:00-18:00. There may also be some evening and weekend work.

The primary responsibilities of the Technical Analyst will be maintaining and running client exchange platforms.The operations team currently work a weekly shift rota covering the hours 07:00-18:00. There may also be some evening and weekend work.
Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible, along with other operations analysts, for the day-to-day management of the exchange platforms

Provide 1st line support to connected clients

Work with other departments (Compliance, Surveillance, Infrastructure and Sales) to ensure appropriately monitored live operations of all platforms

Support the build-out and configuring of new exchange platforms
-
Take a lead role in technology client support, including platform delivery management, support and knowledge transfer

Raise and deploy changes to support the day-to-day running of multiple exchange platforms
-
Compile outage reports for any production outages which occur on the operated platforms once the outage has been rectified

Be a subject matter expert of the exchange platforms offered from a technological perspective

Take part in release review meetings prior to upgrades

Actively raise and pursue improvements and changes that will benefit the team and the wider ecosystem
Profile
Required Skills/Experience
Essential Technical
- Degree level qualification and 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Extensive experience using Unix/Linux servers
- Ability to write advanced SQL queries and a strong understanding of relational databases
- Scripting experience e.g. bash/shell, Python or similar
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Experience with FIX Protocol
- Proven use of G.I.T or similar
- Experience supporting production applications and demonstrated the ability to understand end-to-end systems and processes
- Knowledge or experience of Grafana
- Previous experience of the Atlassian suite of products
- TCP/UDP knowledge
Other Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to a non-technical audience
- Experience of network support and troubleshooting
- Exposure to UK and EU equity market

This role is offering up to £100,000 per annum
