A well-regarded legal practice with a strong reputation in contentious probate work is looking to expand its team with the addition of a dedicated Paralegal. Known for handling complex disputes across the UK and internationally, the team offers tailored advice to clients facing challenging inheritance and trust issues.
The Opportunity
Based in West Yorkshire, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting solicitors and partners in a variety of legal and administrative tasks. This includes managing new client enquiries, drafting legal documents (such as letters of claim, instructions to counsel, and witness statements), and assisting with court and mediation bundle preparation.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Opening and managing legal files, including compliance with regulatory requirements
Advising on funding options and costs where appropriate
Supporting the preparation of seminar materials and client presentations
Conducting legal research on relevant case law, procedural issues, and evidence
About You
You should be a law graduate, ideally with previous experience in contentious trusts and probate. However, candidates with a background in high-value or complex civil litigation, commercial litigation, or private client matters will also be considered.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with legal research tools and case management systems (experience with P4W is beneficial)
High levels of organisation and attention to detail
A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering excellent client service
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
The role is primarily office-based in West Yorkshire, with occasional travel to nearby regional offices. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are supported.
