Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Position Description:

We are seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative to support our personal insurance team. The candidate will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls, as well as various clerical functions including processing of client payments and updating policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain a professional working relationship with clients
  • Assist clients with premium payments and billing questions
  • Process cancellations and reinstatements
  • Issue binders and insurance cards
  • Process client policy changes

Successful Candidate Qualifications:

  • Valid New York Property & Casualty license preferred, or must be able to pass state insurance license exam if do not currently possess a Property & Casualty License
  • Prior customer service experience of at least one (1) year
  • High school diploma
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to always maintain professional and courteous communication
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Accountable, organized and with keen attention to detail
