Job Description
Care Assistant for a Psychology Uni Student – Lincoln/Peterborough
AskJules are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young adult, who is living at home in Peterborough. He is looking for a team of like-minded Care Assistants to provide his personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to help make a positive impact on a young adult’s life.
Start: ASAP
Rota: 3 days on / 4 days off – Off (Overnight stays when at Uni)
Location: Lincoln, LN6 7TS (term time) / Peterborough (off term)
Rate of Pay: £200 per shift
Free accommodation whilst on shift
Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
A Clean Automatic Driving licence is required to drive the client's adapted vehicle. Must be a confident driver and 25+ years old for insurance purposes.
About our Client
Our client is a full-time wheelchair user, with autism and anxiety. He requires comprehensive support every aspect of his life from personal care, to cooking, cleaning and general home assistance.
Our client is currently living with his family in Peterborough and will be relocating to Lincoln in September to begin his first year studying Psychology at the University of Lincoln. He is very excited about this new chapter and is seeking a dedicated team of PAs to support him both at home and at university. Please note that he plans to visit his family in Peterborough every three weeks and he will require his PAs to travel with him for these visits.
He is an outspoken and adventurous young man, who is committed to participating in various activities and enabling others to do the same. His hobbies include swimming, wheelchair football, basketball, rebound trampolining, darts, computer games, and socializing. He also enjoys traveling and aspires to visit Disneyland Paris and Ireland. As he would like his PAs to accompany him on future travels, a valid passport is an essential requirement for this role.

"I am going to study Psychology at Lincoln University in September. I will be living in studio halls university accommodation and you will have your own studio room next door to me. My hobbies and interests are anything from swimming, sport, trampolining, darts, computer games, spending time out with friends. I enjoy studying and reading as well. I would also love to go on holiday to. I will travel home once a month to Peterborough to spend time at the weekend with family and serving in faith at my church and will need PAs to travel with me.
I also study through the night to ensure deadlines on that and my studies are successful it can be one of the most productive times for me when, others are sleeping. I love having blue and pink hair and attending pride events. I also during times that I’m on my own which I love to do out about clubbing or out with friends or studying in the library you can spend this time how you wish but you must be reachable and by phone and not too far away."
