About the Role:We’re looking for a hands-on Hydro Vac Operator based in Canterbury region. This is a hands-on role supporting utility construction and trenching projects. You\’ll operate a hydro excavation truck, assist with service location, and support crews in a variety of civil tasks on site.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their machine, and is keen to be part of a hardworking and safety-focused crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a hydro excavation truck for trenching, potholing, and exposing live services
  • Support ground crews with safe service location and non-destructive digging
  • Transport waste material from site using vacuum truck
  • Perform basic truck maintenance and ensure the unit is clean and operational
  • Assist with general site works including setup, clean-up, and minor civil tasks
  • Maintain strong safety and environmental practices on all job sites
  • Work in coordination with site foremen, civil crews, and project managers

About You:You\’re an experienced truck driver with solid exposure to civil works or vacuum excavation. You’re reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoy working in a small, focused crew. You take pride in your machine and aren’t afraid to lend a hand with general labour when needed.

What You’ll Bring:
