Job Description
Communications And Engagement Support Officer needed!\\n\\n* Salary: Between £16.37 to £18.26 per hour\\n* Location: Cambridge\\n* Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm\\n* Till Septembe 2025 with the possibility of extension\\n\\nThis is flexible- working at home or in our office with a minimum of one day per week in Cambridge on site.\\n\\nThe purpose of this role is:\\n\\nA fundamental part of the council's Communications and Engagement Team, working closely with Communications Officers to coordinate communications plans for teams and projects, and create content for multiple channels including social media, websites, e-newsletters, residents' magazines, out of home artwork and much more. Also providing a contact point for enquiries (internal and external), including those received via social media and from the media, and supporting the team by taking ownership of administrative tasks.\\n\\nSupport the smooth day to day running of the council's Communications and Engagement activities, including external and internal communications. Working with colleagues in the Communications and Engagement Team and across the council to drive the dynamic and ever-changing needs of the council, providing added value to support the council's corporate plan.\\nHelping to build positive reputation of the council locally and nationally in line with council vision\\n\\nEssential Experience:\\nWriting for different audiences with good attention to detail to ensure high levels of accuracy\\nCreating engaging content for different channels using a variety of media, including photography \\nWorking in a communications, marketing or PR administration role and using a wide range of internal and external communications channels.\\nStrong administrative support background.
