£25,000 to £29,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)

We’re looking for a Planning Co-ordinator to join our Co-op business services (CBS) Planning and Delivery team. You\’ll be working within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day’.

In this role you’ll support the Planning and Delivery Manager to make sure that prioritised change activities in CBS are delivered effectively on time, within scope and budget. We’ll look to you to work collaboratively with a variety of partners to conduct regular reports on risks, track progress, manage resource, provide key insights to the leadership teams and carry out general project management office administration tasks. You’ll also work with the Co-op governance processes to make sure that any planning submissions meet requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a new role, whilst shaping the future of our business.

What you’ll do

• Maintain a consolidated portfolio plan and control log
• Conduct quality assessments on periodic project status reports and plans, making sure reporting cycles align with the wider businesses reporting requirements
• Support the change management process, making sure all changes are appropriately managed, tracked and approved
• Manage project documents and tools, making sure they’re easily accessible, provide a clear audit trail, and are automated where possible
• Proactively identify risks across the portfolio, conducting regular reviews and making sure that any identified risks have actions in place to address them
• Support with the preparation and delivery of quarterly strategic planning sessions
• Co-ordinate the CBS governance forums, making sure any actions are captured and building positive relationships with leaders and forum members across CBS
• Work with finance and project leads to deliver an effective cost and benefit tracking process
• Support in the timely reviews of portfolio governance and the delivery of associated action plans on an ongoing basis

• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise work
• Great verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand terms
• Confidence in engaging with colleagues at all levels and experience of influencing and building positive relationships with colleagues up to senior level
• Strong analytical skills – you’re able to review data and spot opportunities for improvements and identify risks
• Very good IT skills with the ability to use programmes in the Microsoft office suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
• A keen interest in developing your career in planning and change
