JOB TITLE: Shift Team Leader

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working supervisory position, responsible for directing and co-ordinating activities to provide day to day leadership for the operations team members, ensuring that the process plant and systems is optimised to meet environmental and production targets.
- This is a supervisory position and as such will be held accountable and responsible for the performance of their team.
- Act as permit coordinator & Area Authority under Control of Work system. The STL is the issuing authority for the Operations Supervisors areas on a shift-by-shift basis
- Ensure all Operations equipment for life support and safety systems are maintained and available.
- Ensure appropriate data is collected, collated and reported in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy in support of production optimization and client quality expectations.
- Take responsibility for, and ownership of 28-Day / 7-day planning & maintenance activities within the discipline and as delegated by the OS.
- Work with discipline Lead Techs to ensure all PM’s are aligned such that only one outage will be required encompassing all planned activities for the period.
- Attend onshore meetings as required. STL’s are encouraged to pursue issues/queries with teams as they deem appropriate. (onshore or offshore).
- Ensure all documentation, daily logs and trip handovers are to a high standard and accurate.
- With the PMC, monitor materials movements on the materials tracker and manifest.
- ICP Focal point as tasked by the OS. Make sure verification testing is organised such that the resource and permitry is available at the agreed time.
- S/D & Projects Focal point for Operations Area as tasked by OS.
- In conjunction with other Operations personnel review any proposed modifications / work packs prior to implementation and feedback as appropriate.
- Actively support and liaise with all residential / non-residential contractors / vendors acting as central point of contact, ensuring work carried out by 3rd party personnel conforms to statutory regulations and company standards.
- Input into appraisals of Operations tech’s – assisting with setting objectives / mid-year and end of year reviews of technicians within the Operations department.
- Lead role in training of new personnel, Competence Management System assessor.
- Completion of Competence Management System for role in timely manner.
- Provide cover for the Control Room Operator as required.
- Stand-in for the position of Operations Supervisor as required.
- Understand and comply with the installations safety case, statutory requirements, and safe systems of work.
- Ensure contractors and vendors comply with Petrofac / Kittiwake’s safe systems of work and current legislation.
- Perform in an emergency role as defined by the Company Emergency Response Procedure Manual and Station Bill.

- Ability to lead and work in a team, resolving day-to-day operational issues as they occur.
- Ability to manage system issues and liaise with external support teams to bring resolutions.
- Ability to manage multiple workscopes, prioritising and allocating resources as required for the best outcome for the asset.
- Ability to review plans for SIMOPS issues and resolve clashes before they manifest at site.
- Ability to carry out complex fault-finding on-site equipment, liaising with vendors both remotely and locally to resolve issues.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Recognised Operations / Production Apprenticeship or Training Scheme
- Years’ experience in Hydrocarbon Operations support activities, preferably with experience of multi-skilling.
- OND / ONC/ City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 – Production Operations.
- NVQ Level 3 Management preferable but not essential.
- ISSOW (Proscient Or similar system) training to level 2.
- Systems literate – experience of computerised management systems e.g., Maximo, Spreadsheets, etc.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to share information / knowledge with other personnel
