Overview

North Lincolnshire Council are seeking to recruit a community spirited individual to provide a school crossing service to children and their parents/guardians. Applicants should have a good understanding of road use and traffic awareness. You will need to use your judgement of speed and distance to know when it is safe to stop traffic and allow pedestrians to cross the road. The presence of a School Crossing Patrol encourages parents and children to walk to school, giving environmental and health benefits, in addition to improving safety on the site.

Responsibilities

  • Duty times cover the period before school opens in the morning and the period after the school closes in the afternoon.
  • This post is term-time only.
  • The times on patrol are AM 08.20 – 08.55 PM 15.00 – 15.30
