Part-Time Relief Milker & Herdsperson T********Farms (Organic Dairy)

We are a mixed organic family farm seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a part-time Relief Milker & Herdsperson.

This is a long-term role with the opportunity to be part of the hands-on management of our 120-head organic dairy herd, milked through a 5/5 Herringbone Westfalia parlour.

Key Responsibilities:

•Twice-daily milking (relief cover)

•Animal husbandry and welfare

•Calf rearing

•General daily yard duties

Youll provide relief cover for our main Herdsman – typically one day per week or alternate weekends, plus 35 days of holiday cover throughout the year.

Key Requirements:

•Strong experience in animal husbandry and livestock care

•High standards of milking and parlour hygiene

•Excellent attention to detailessential for organic dairy management

•Familiarity with organic farming practices (preferred)

Additional Details:

•Training provided, ensuring youre confident with all procedures before taking on full relief responsibilities.

•Accommodation may be available depending on the agreed work schedule.

•Pay is dependent on experience, hours worked, and accommodation arrangements.
