About our Apprenticeship Program:

We are looking for Apprentices to join us in February 2026!

Our Apprentice Lineworkers are responsible for constructing and maintaining overhead and underground electrical lines and structures. They also respond to and rectify network faults to restore supply to our customers.

Our Apprentices must be willing to work outdoors, at heights and in all weather conditions.

Our four-year program sees our Apprentices:

  • Be secure. Solid skills, real experience, and a future career that’s going places.
  • Be trained. Earn a nationally recognised TAFE certification.
  • Be supported. Great pay, valuable benefits and a 1:1 mentor to support your journey.
  • Be valued. Feel supported from day one and grow as part of a wider team.
  • Be hands-on. Build and learn practical skills from the best in the business.

If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us earning an industry recognised trade qualification: Certificate III – ESI Distribution Overhead.

To be eligible to apply, you need to meet one of the following pre-requisites:

  • Units 1 & 2 General Maths (Year 11 equivalent); or
  • VCAL or VCE Vocational Major; or
  • Currently completing (or completed) a pre-apprenticeship TAFE training course in Electrotechnology (Cert II)*.

*If you are currently completing a pre-requisite subject, you are eligible to apply, as long as it will be successfully completed by the end of the 2025 academic year.
