Birmingham, B15 3BE

Fixed Term Contract – 12 months

ÂŁ29,100 + Fantastic benefits

Full time – 40 hours a week

Role Overview

As a Health Promotions Advisor within Bupa Clinics, you’ll be able to use your training and education to support our customers by providing education on how to live longer, healthier, happier lives. Our customers are your priority, and you’ll spend the majority of your time with them doing what you do best and what you trained for.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Deliver engaging and informative pre-approved health talk content through webinars and onsite lectures
  • Have an open & honest conversation with our customers about lifestyle & behaviour changes they can adopt in order to lead a longer, healthier, happier life
  • Promote and encourage a healthier lifestyle for our customers in accordance with Bupa current clinical policy and recommended national and international guidelines
  • Give individual lifestyle advice appropriate to customer needs with reference to their health risk, health assessment results and their health and wellbeing goals
  • Ensure customers are supported throughout their health assessment journey
  • Promote lifestyle coaching
  • Carry out Bupa health assessment tests in accordance with Bupa Health Clinics policies and protocols
  • Explain clinical results and risk factors to our customers – take them on a journey of how this impacts their health & wellbeing & steps they can take to mitigate this risk
  • Refer customers to a Bupa Doctor as required – work as partners to manage the Customer’s Health Assessment

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in exercise physiology/sports science/nutrition
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Experience of performing measurement or assessment in a health and fitness or medical environment (desirable)
  • Accuracy in information recording and working within clinical guidelines
  • Confident in presenting and public speaking
  • Empathy and ability to motivate customers to make positive health changes
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with internal colleagues
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • IT skills including proficient on Microsoft Office systems and all other systems needed for health assessment delivery.
  • Organisation and time management skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
