Category Manager We have a truly rare opportunity for a Category Manager to join one of the UK’s and Europe’s leading IT channel and distribution providers. Main responsibilities for the Category Manager: * Daily monitoring of product shortages to ensure optimal product availability. * Definition and procurement of commercial product lines of our core vendors according to relevance and competitiveness for our business * Negotiation of purchase prices at distribution and manufacturer level * Platform-dependent setting & calculation of selling price * Cross-brand planning and handling of project requests * Fortnightly definition of promotional products * Recommendations, forecasts and planning in respect to relevant manufacturers and distributors * Actively participate in team meetings and planning sessions to align and execute category strategies with overall business objectives * Management of high-volume accounts by managing the complete sales and purchasing cycle Main Requirements for the successful Category Manager: * Solid experience in IT and IT hardware distribution * Proven track record in high-volume business and large procurement operations * Strong technical hardware knowledge and a data-driven approach * Goal-driven mindset, thriving under pressure with a focus on results and targets * Excellent negotiation and communication skills for building strong relationships * High degree of flexibility and adaptability * Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced setting * Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for planning and forecasting * Outgoing and confident personality with friendly manner and good sense of humour.
