As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your responsibilities will include: Supporting children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, through creative and structured activities. Using performing arts techniques to aid communication, emotional regulation, and confidence-building. Assisting with personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs. Creating a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to deliver a well-rounded support system. To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) role, you will: Have a background in Performing Arts (e.g., drama, dance, music) or a related creative field. Be passionate about supporting children with additional and complex needs. Bring creativity, empathy, and a calm, encouraging approach to every day. Be adaptable and able to follow guidance while using your initiative. Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service.
