Job Description:

The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation providing services to infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs, and supports throughout New Jersey. Join our dedicated staff of over 500 and make a difference in someone\’s life!

We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with developmental disabilities with activities of daily living in a residential setting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist and supervise in activities of daily living skills
  • Administer or assist with prescribed medication
  • Assist with transportation
  • Assist in implementing individual goals and objectives
  • Data entry using Therap (EHR)
  • Help residents pursue recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and plans

Job Requirements:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver\’s license in good standing, insurable through NJID\’s insurance

NO certification required

Additional responsibilities include light housekeeping, supporting residents\’ activities, and ensuring their well-being.

Position Details:

Location: Aberdeen County, Monmouth

Hours: 8 hours per week, Saturday 8am – 4pm, with other shifts available

Opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties, full-time, part-time, and per diem roles available.
