Working Full time – 37.5 hours per week
An Assistant Technician vacancy has arisen to join the HSDU Team. The successful candidate will receive training to provide quality sterilized goods and services to internal and external customers.
Main duties of the job
- Prepare goods and services for customers using all areas of the department
- Assist with distribution of sterile and clean supplies to theatres, wards, and other departments
- Operate equipment such as washer disinfectors and sterilizers
- Be receptive to training and development opportunities
- Assist with stores handling and stock control
- Support senior departmental staff
- Contribute to an effective, motivated, and competent workforce while maintaining high-quality standards
- Record, collate, monitor, and feedback relevant information according to current systems
- Monitor and control production within HSDU, ensuring priority requests and contractual turnaround times are met
- Adhere to the Trust and Departmental Values and Behaviors at all times
- Previous experience in a Sterile Services Department is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
