The role requires cross-site working . The working pattern is dictated by the clinic schedule – details of the working pattern is available on request. The post holder is required to provide a supportive role to the imaging team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to give the best quality of service by assisting radiographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks in the Imaging Directorate. A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient. Reception / clerical duties including data entry are essential elements of the role., Due to the nature of the role it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement, as outlined in Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, that only females may apply.
The post holder will:
Act as a chaperone for imaging tests
Provide assistance to the operator during biopsies by preparing trollies using ANTT, assisting during the procedure as required.
Provide support for the patient undergoing procedures
Apply pressure following biopsies and post biopsy wound care
Ensure that the environment is clean and tidy
Carry out post procedural data input to Trust systems
