Our client is a privately owned and profitable packaging manufacturer specialising in sales of flexible packaging: Stand up and Liquid Pouches, Printed Film, Food Wrappers and Sustainable Packaging into the Food, Beverage, Medical and Pharmaceutical products, Industrial Goods, Health and Beauty, Household Products, Nutritional and Supplement products, Retail and Pet Food products sectors in the UK
Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to be responsible for seeking new business opportunities and to establish or maintain close, productive relationships with key clients.
- Development of potential new clients to produce business growth.
- Managing existing customer relationships and engaging with key accounts on a weekly basis.
- Participating in UK and European trade exhibitions.
- Co-ordinating marketing activities.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have significant business development experience as well as account management and be capable of managing circa £1Million+ in key accounts, preferably with some background or experience in flexible packaging and will have a sold to multi sector markets (minimum of 3-5 years\’ experience).
- You will have a good understanding of eco space, sustainability, circular economy, and the opportunities and challenges this arena brings.
- The ability to target well and identify sales opportunities, ideally using knowledge of the marketplace, is required along with the ability to communicate unique value added service package to new contacts.
- You will be self-motivated and keen to develop new sales / customers in order to help grow the business, whilst able to work closely with the internal support team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to develop close, long term trading relationships with customers at a variety of levels.
