Our General Maintenance Operative – Property will be a vital member of the Property Team, responsible for a wide range of maintenance works across Jet2.com and Jet2holidays UK and Overseas estate.
This role will be based from Holiday House, our office in Leeds City Centre and will involve travel to other UK sites and possibly some overseas sites.
In this exciting position, you will be required to provide efficient and effective support to the Property Team and colleagues across the business – achieved by having responsibility for the basic day to day maintenance across our property portfolio.

What you’ll be doing:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Reactive Maintenance
- Responsibility for cleanliness & appearance of various buildings and external areas and communicating to Cleaners to action where appropriate
- Together with the rest of the Maintenance Team, ensure that the buildings within the estate adhere to H&S Regulations including checks of emergency lighting, water temperatures, fire alarms and fire doors
- Furniture movements and deliveries
- Storage/archiving administration – maximising space in available buildings
- Assisting contractors in carrying out generator testing when requiredVarious ad hoc jobs as they arise
- Liaise with contactors and suppliers as required to ensure work is completed satisfactorily and on time
What you’ll have:
- Trade background or experience in building fabric/maintenance/facilities with the ability to carry out minor repairs to plumbing installations
- Confidence with a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks
- PAT testing competency
- Experience with general maintenance of doors, windows and ironmongery; painting and decorating
- Experience of working internally and externally on varying building types
- Flexibility with working hours and overnight stays & travel
- Positive mindset and ability to meet deadlines
- Good level of physical fitness essential due to lifting, carrying and walking
- Full, clean driving licence essential
- Good team player with friendly can-do attitude and flexible approach to role essential
- Good computer skills
