Position: Mechanical Reliability Engineer – Kent

Employment Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on experience

Location: This role will be 2/3 days WFH and 2/3 travelling to different Kent sites or at an office in the Kent area.

We are recruiting a Mechanical Reliability Engineer based in Kent. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to ensure high standards of asset maintenance, aiming to increase reliability and reduce downtime.

The role involves expanding the team focused on delivering strategies within Wastewater, transitioning from reactive to planned maintenance, and establishing a reliability-centered maintenance approach during our AMP 8 investment period.

You will design and implement RCM strategies to maintain assets cost-effectively, ensuring reliability and compliance with legislative and environmental standards.

This role requires regular monitoring of maintenance strategies through asset performance analysis, asset information review, surveillance, and KPI trending to improve uptime and efficiency.

Responsibilities include conducting reliability studies such as FMECA and RCA assessments to enhance asset performance, applying industry standards, and maintaining detailed documentation of strategies, procedures, and analyses.

To succeed, candidates should have:

  • Knowledge of mechanical assets like motors, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, generators
  • Experience in analyzing, operating, and maintaining assets
