Job Description:

Staying Put is a home improvement agency that helps older, disabled, and other vulnerable residents maintain their independence and remain living in their own homes. We offer advice, grants, and loans for adaptation and repair works, a hospital discharge and reablement service, a handyperson and gardening service, and signposting to other council departments and external contacts.

The Staying Put Administrator will provide administrative support for the daily operations of the service. This includes being the first point of contact via email, phone, and post, managing administrative tasks related to disabled facilities grants and home investment loans, handling financial assessments, approvals, payments, and customer service tasks related to hospital discharge and reablement requests.

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Provide administrative support across the team.
  • Coordinate and arrange appropriate actions by contractors and professionals/organisations.
  • Organise, plan, and prioritise workload with good time management.
  • Demonstrate good customer service and numeracy skills, with attention to detail.
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills and resilience to manage competing priorities.
  • Communicate effectively and positively, both verbally and in writing.
