Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.

Job Role: Assistant Manager (Retail)

Salary: £14,286 (FTE £23,810)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Trowbridge

Additional information: Weekend availability is required for this role in a busy retail environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with the Shop Manager to smash sales targets, boost profits, and drive the shop\’s success.
  • Manage the journey of donations – from sorting and pricing to creating inviting displays that keep customers coming back.
  • Recruit, train, and inspire a dedicated team of volunteers, making sure everyone feels valued and empowered.
  • Take charge of essential admin and finance tasks, including cash handling and daily banking.
