Job Title: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Barnsley & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £38, – £45, + Door-to-Door Travel | Permanent
Are you an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer looking for a new opportunity with a stable, family-run business that\’s been operating for over 50 years?
We\’re recruiting on behalf of a long-established and respected company seeking a skilled engineer to join their growing team. Covering Barnsley and the surrounding region, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that values its engineers and offers excellent benefits, long-term stability, and ongoing support.
What you\’ll be doing:
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on a wide range of AC and refrigeration systems
Conduct routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Complete all associated service documentation accurately
Work with both domestic and commercial clients, delivering excellent customer service
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company and site-specific H&S procedures
Take part in a shared on-call rota to support 24/7 service coverage
What we\’re looking for:
Proven experience in AC and Refrigeration systems
Qualified with C&G (F-Gas Certification)
Display fridges & freezers
Cold rooms & chillers
Split AC units, VRV and AHU systems
Strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge
Full UK driving licence
Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
