Job summary

BARDOC are recruiting Telephone Triage Clinicians to provide a comprehensive triage service, for patients requiring the out of hours services,in particular working for the clinical Assessment service providing appropriate information, advice or referrals, as per the agreed protocols.

We welcome applications from Nurses, Pharmacists and Paramedics with 3 years post registration experience.

Hours for this role are flexible and are available Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Shifts will be a minimum of four hours.

Pay Rates:

Nurses, Pharmacists and Paramedics: £23.23 – £28.51 per hour

Clinical Practitioners [Prescriber]: £25.68 – £41.03 per hour

Main duties of the job

Your role as a Telephone Triage Clinician will be to carry out a range of tasks. This is a fast paced role in which you will use your clinical assessment skills to advise patients.

Triage patients via telephone, evaluate and prioritise patient symptoms and provide home care advice. Signpost patients to appropriate services and give reassurance in line with the Government Standards for Better Health, up to date NICE Guidelines, Organisation Policies and Professional Body Codes of Conduct.

Ensuring that triage is a continuous process and all categories are checked on a regular basis, to ensure that the priority remains correct.

To refer to professional texts and training references online and through the Adastra system, when implementing triage.

To maintain clear, concise and accurate documentation within the systems provided.
