Job Description

You’ll need to be confident in picking up the phone and problem solving helping to reduce aged debt.This highly ethical company aims to reduce carbon emissions, and increase renewable energy. So naturally there’s a feel good factor in helping the planet and this is why 98% of employees are proud to work here.As the Credit & Collections Advisor your principal task is simple, to reduce aged debt (over 90 days), supporting customers to ensure that they are on an appropriate contract for their business whilst working in a growing and dynamic environment.Your new role (Credit & Collections Advisor)The key responsibilities of the Credit & Collections Advisor are to:
- Reduce aged debt (over 90 days+)
- Ensure customers are on appropriate contracts
- Talk to customers on the phone
- Liaise with other departments including operations to support COS (Change of Supply) and COT (Change of Tenancy)
- Deal with external organisations including trade credit insurance and debt collection agencies
- Support other projects

- Base salary = £27,000 to £28,000
- WFH ~3 days p.w. | Birmingham (B4 – Snow Hill area) ~2 day p.w.
- 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays). Rising to 26 days after 1 year.

Skills and experience to be successful
- Credit collections (any industry)
- Confident telephone manner
- Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders
- Doing the right thing for the customer and company
- Driving a problem through until completion and resolution
The Interview Process
- 60 min TEAMS interview with the Credit & Collections Manager + 1 other
- 60 min face to face meeting with the Line Manager & Head of Collections
