Day To Day Tasks
Researching family trees, including searching through genealogical records and other documentation. This can involve searching online or manual records as well as visiting record centres and archives to view original records.
Interviewing family members and other relevant persons about their family history and / or knowledge of a family tree
Ordering and reviewing certificates and other relevant documents to prove or progresses the research.
Updating solicitors and beneficiaries (where required)
Assisting with ancillary services, such as divorce searches, probate searches and Will searches
Assisting Case Managers with compiling family history reports; including hand-drawn and computerised trees, covering letter, mailing lists, making copies of supporting certificates and agreements
General administrative duties
Collecting certificates from General Registry Office
The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be
- Degree educated.
- Ultra-organised and possess strong communication skills including a good telephone manner.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft systems
- Able to manage large workloads working to tight deadlines.
- An exemplary sickness & punctuality record
- A proven team player.
