Our client is a leading British extruder, converter, and printer of polythene packaging, providing high-quality products including recycled polythene waste bags, virgin-grade plastic packaging, sheeting, tubing, stretch, shrink & barrier film, pallet covers, and rolls to various markets such as food, waste, facilities management, clinical, and industrial sectors.

They are currently recruiting for a Field Sales Representative to develop new business across a territory in the UK. The role offers significant autonomy, and the successful candidate will receive all necessary tools and support to grow and manage their accounts.

The company holds BRC and CHSA Accreditations, alongside ISO and clinical waste standards, ensuring rigorous quality assurance and high standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Meet potential clients by expanding and leveraging your network.
  2. Identify potential clients and decision-makers within organizations.
  3. Maintain existing accounts and develop new ones through product development.
  4. Negotiate tenders, prepare documentation, and draft proposals for pricing and contracts.
  5. Handle objections, clarify agreements, and work towards positive resolutions.
  6. Serve as the primary contact for all tenders until successful completion.
  7. Develop new products through discussions with clients worldwide.
  8. Maintain margins through strategic price increases to grow business.
  9. Demonstrate a proven track record in the polythene packaging sector, either as an experienced external sales professional or an internal candidate seeking advancement.
  10. Experience in tender negotiations and bid preparation.
  11. Deep understanding of customer relationship building.
  12. Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  13. Proven ability to open new accounts, preferably within packaging or related industries.
  14. Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
