Job Description:
We are recruiting for a Technical Services Supervisor / Maintenance Supervisor responsible for planning work and coordinating directly employed labor and subcontractors at a large facility in Blackburn. The role involves ensuring all mechanical maintenance, repairs, and condition of systems, plant, and equipment meet project standards. The position is permanent, offering approximately £41,500 annually, with a Monday to Friday schedule, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the Maintenance Team to deliver high performance.
- Providing leadership and motivation to the team.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, technical, and safety standards.
- Managing and supervising maintenance activities and contractors.
- Implementing permit to work systems and managing maintenance tasks via helpdesk and CAFM systems.
- Requisitioning materials and managing stock levels.
- Monitoring site activities and conducting quality inspections.
- Training team members and conducting toolbox talks.
- Participating in out-of-hours management and attending site as needed.
- Managing RAMS and ensuring preventative maintenance is performed according to schedules.
Requirements:
- Completed a recognized mechanical apprenticeship.
- Supervisory experience on large, complex sites.
- Experience managing direct labor and contractors.
- Specialist certifications in Water Systems, HVAC, or Pressure Systems.
- Experience as an Authorized Person.
- Knowledge of statutory regulations and safety procedures.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building services maintenance in a commercial/industrial environment.
- Experience with HVAC, LTHW, Water Systems, Pumps, and other mechanical systems.
- Competent Person certification and CAFM system experience.
