As an Apprentice ICT Platform Technician, you will support employees in Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington Borough Councils, helping them use technology effectively and resolving issues to maintain productivity and security. Based at Darlington Town Hall, you will work as part of a team to deliver these services.
You will assist in providing efficient, customer-focused ICT services, working within our dedicated ICT Platform Team passionate about building efficiency and security into all work.
Your responsibilities include maintaining and managing networks across Stockton and Darlington, installing and configuring network and wireless equipment, supporting datacentres, and assisting with cloud-based technology and security.
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum qualifications of English and Maths at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above / Functional Skills Level 2)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to the full apprenticeship duration — reliability, motivation, and ability to balance work and study
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills — please outline in your personal statement how you meet this criteria
