Job Description:

Typical Responsibilties

  • To carry out any additional duties deemed necessary within the department.
  • Thorough knowledge, skill and understanding of the following processes:
  • Receipt & Supply of SMT and all electronic components and PCBs within Electronic stores.
  • Stock Control
  • Administration
  • Information systems – must be PC literate, with experience using Sage, email etc.
  • Possess full knowledge of the Section’s current quality standards and appropriate quality procedures.
  • Helping to maintain good working relations through effective communication.
  • A high regard for Health & Safety procedures including anti-static regulations and manual handling procedures.
  • Assisting with any process/system changes deemed necessary within the Section.
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
  • Ensure all components are stored and handled correctly depending on the component itself.
  • Appropriate knowledge of any process associated control & a good understanding of the Sage system.
  • Appropriate knowledge of Section Health & Safety procedures.
  • Main Duties:
  • Ensure all materials received corresponds to purchasing and delivery documentation.
  • Liaison with purchasing department and production team highlighting any issues/discrepancies.
  • Contribute to and make recommendations for any improvements to process method/quality.
  • Helping to maintain good working relations through effective communication.
  • Ensuring current information systems associated with the process are understood and kept up to date.
  • Awareness of and consideration for safety issues, including any relevant section specific health and safety requirements due to Company rules or legislation. This role will involve some lifting and awareness of manual handling techniques.
  • Ability to work well on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • When appropriate, assist with & provide on the job training.
  • Partake in staff development programs.
  • Partake in all Stock take activities.
  • Promote a professional image at all times.
