COMPLIANCE OFFICER – CORPORATE COMPLIANCE EXPERIENCE FROM ELECTRONICS OR MANUFACTURING REQUIRED
£65K plus quarterly bonus and good benefits 3/2 Hybrid (North Kent)

Our client, a leading electronics manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer who will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance within the organization, including implementing compliance programs, conducting audits, and ensuring that the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Reporting to the board, duties will include;
- Identifying and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations affecting the business globally, including Anti-bribery and Corruption, Modern Slavery, ESG & Sustainability, Sanctions, Cybersecurity, AI & FOSS
- Ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain adhere to relevant legal regulations, industry standards and internal policies
- Managing and responding to customer compliance enquiries and questionnaires.
- Actively participating in the Regulatory Steering Committee Working Group, taking ownership of the projects and tasks assigned to Compliance
- Create, review and update relevant compliance policies and procedures to reflect legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform regular audits and monitoring of compliance activities, preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Investigate compliance violations or concerns and work with relevant departments to resolve issues.
- Act as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on compliance topics, ensuring awareness and understanding of relevant regulations.
You should have several years of Compliance or Risk Management experience gained in electronics or broader manufacturing with a good understanding of ABC, AML including Sanctions and ESG & Sustainability, even if not covered all directly. You should also have strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with all stakeholders.
This role is based in North Kent, 3 days per week in the office – the office is located rurally so you will need to drive to the office where there’s ample onsite parking (v close to the M25 junctions with the A2 & A20/M20) .
