Purpose of the job –
As a trainee HR Adviser, we will develop and grow you technical and behavioural skills to enable you to develop into a strong HR Adviser. A key part of the role will be working to deliver outstanding HR advice and guidance to our customers You will be constantly focused on delivering commercial and pragmatic advice whilst ensuring you are delivering to our client\’s objectives.
Through a comprehensive and intensive training program you will develop towards the following core responsibilities: –
- To act as the first point of contact to provide advice and solutions to managers on employee relations matters including, working arrangements, contractual matters, sickness, employee communication and consultation, either via phone or e-mail, in line with current legislation.
- Respond to a wide range of customer enquiries, via telephone, e-mail or other correspondence, relating to HR issues/administration in a professional manner, to ensure that clients receive timely, accurate and valuable advice.
- Liaising with the EPM team to deliver a seamless EPM service experience.
- To draft template letters in relation to any informal/formal meetings relating to ER cases, attending meetings/hearings as deemed necessary.
- Work in conjunction with colleagues in the HR advisory team in supporting our schools.
- Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the HR Advisory team, undertaking specific projects to embed consistency and best practice.
- Offer accurate interpretation, advice, application and representation to clients on employment legislation, best practice and policies and procedures in relation to and in the context of clients\’ policies and procedures on a range of HR matters.
Skills/Experience
- Experience working within Education or payroll / HR provider organisations an advantage.
- Coaching and staff mentoring / development.
- Confident and clear communicator both written and oral.
- Strong IT skills
