Enclosure Equipment Technician
Basildon, Essex | Permanent, Full-Time | £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
Are you a hands-on mechanical technician with experience in fabricating and assembling machinery enclosures or frames? We\’re looking for skilled Enclosure Equipment Technicians to support the build of high-spec production systems, ensuring top-quality finish and structural reliability from workshop to site.
This role combines mechanical assembly, precision fitting, and occasional travel, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and working within a multi-skilled engineering team.
What You\’ll Be Doing:

Fabricating and assembling structural frameworks and protective machine enclosures

Cutting, drilling, and finishing sheet metal and frame materials

Installing locks, hinges, pneumatic cylinders, and mechanical fasteners

Fitting enclosures to machinery with close attention to alignment and build tolerances

Disassembling and preparing machines for shipment and reassembly on customer sites

Reading and interpreting mechanical and assembly drawings

Collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth integration and issue resolution
