This independent dynamic Accountancy Practice that works with local businesses (limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships) are looking for a new Accounts/ Accountant/ Accounts Assistant team member who ideally has a minimum of 1-3 years working within another UK Accountancy practice.
You will ideally be :
AAT, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
Have a Minimum of 1-3 years\’ experience in an accountancy practice.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, VAT, and basic tax
In return this Accountancy Practice offers a friendly, supportive family feel environment. A basic Salary of up to £30k ( this can be negotiable for the right candidate) Monday to Friday office based hours of 09.00 – 17.00 (1 hour lunch) with on site parking, Xmas shut down.
In this client-facing role, you\’ll be responsible for Bookkeeping preparation,VAT returns ,Year-end accounts and Tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records using cloud-based accounting software.
* Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.
* Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
* Assist with the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.
* Liaise with clients regarding queries, information requests, and filing deadlines.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax legislation
* Assist in the on boarding of new clients and gathering required documentation.
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet client deadlines and internal quality standards.
