The Role of a Class 2 Driver in our Southampton CDC

  • You will work as part of the delivery and collection service, demonstrating exceptional customer service in all aspects of the working day.
  • Using the company\’s smart phone, you will maintain an accurate record of deliveries and collections and carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks.
  • You will be expected to drive the company vehicle responsibly and safely, abiding by all traffic laws and the highway code.
  • Represent the company and its values and be professional, help with loading and unloading and any other tasks.

What do you need to succeed as an Class 2 Driver?

  • A Category C (Class 2) licence
  • A valid driver qualification card and digital tachograph card.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve complex customer inquiries.
  • Knowledge of safe loading as well as the transporting of hazardous good.
  • Demonstrate compliance with manual handling regulations.
