INTRODUCTION

JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a talented assistant to join the Womenswear team. Collaborating closely across the Collection Merchandising team and with cross-functional peers in Sourcing, Retail Merchandising team, Product Development and Design, the Merchandising team initiate and own the end to end process of managing a product range. Operating in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, we are recruiting an Assistant Merchandiser to join the Women’s team to support the development of the strategic plan for the product category.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own data accuracy in PLM, BOARD, NU ORDER, EDIT systems ensuring all information are up to date
  • Conduct competitive analysis including trends and pricing analysis to drive pricing architecture guidance for the collection
  • Prepare analysis sales reports on a style, fabric and colour selling level using excel to inform future design development
  • Assist in building seasonal range-plans, product & pricing strategies and prepare all market documents
  • Organise and coordinate collection notes and buying guides
  • Assist in the global brand buy process with the regional teams
  • Coordinate and support all administration duties relating to market training for the Merchandising team
  • Monitor CADs creation and visual line list updates due to high amount of information in and used by all divisions
  • Have a close relationship with showroom to support on sample management
  • Deliver any ad hoc administration and assistant duties to ensure smooth running of the team
  • Assist on the collection presentation slides and product knowledge pack
  • Keep track of deadlines in calendar and monitor shared to do list

PERSONAL PROFILE

Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; strong analytical and retail maths skills.

Previous Product Merchandising experience within a Luxury brand; experienced in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a high level of commercial instinct and taste.

Confident presenter; strong organisational skills and flexibility in adapting to challenges.

Collaborative team player with a keen interest in fashion and current industry topics.
